As the MLHS Class of 64 #1 underachiever, I’m pleased to report that I still haven’t accomplished much of anything in life worthy of recording. I have no millions, no CEO after my name, nor an MD nor a PhD.
I have not invented anything necessary, have no grandchildren, no children, no husband and, at present, not even a dog. I don’t have an address in the South of France, nor in Hawaii, nor care of any yacht in any ocean. I have no names to drop. I have not climbed Mount Everest, nor swum the English Channel. I am not the next American Idol, nor am I up for a Nobel prize.
I DID, however, stop smoking and I lost 50 pounds since I last saw most of you. Unfortunately, at 60ish, losing 50 pounds did not make me drop dead gorgeous, but only wrinkly.
I’m only in a foul mood about half the time, and otherwise enjoy a simple life, rich in good friends and belly laughs if not in money. Someday I may surprise us all and finish the Great American Novel, which rests undisturbed and probably moldy in the bottom of my pajama drawer.
I wish you all well and hope you’re all healthy and happy and less dull than I am.
God Bless, Carolyn
