I am re-inventing myself again and going back to schools for my MSW (assuming I am admitted for Fall 2007). Getting out of administration and wanting to do direct service again - this time for children who are aging out of the foster care system. Once they are 18 they are essentially on their own. Who thought I would seek a 2nd Masters but the MSW provides lots of opportunities that an MPA does not.

I quit my job doing PR for a senior services agency (the ED was the actual wicked witch and the workplace was no Oz). Taking the GRE on 11/28 so I am re-learning math again. I became a grandmother on June 19th and the young man has captured my heart so my time off to study and prepare applications is also full of driving an hour to Chapel Hill to play with the "man" of my dreams - he smiles at just about everything I say!!

Son Chris is the proud new Papa and son Scott is in the 2nd year of a Masters in International Relations at American Univ. in DC so life is good. My Dad is 84 and doing very well. How did we get to be 60?

The bad weather that killed the people near Wilmington this morning also came through here and I guess we were very lucky.
