Have just completed building a mountain house and moved to Brevard, NC (25 miles SW of Asheville) after 26 years in Barrington, IL (NW Chicago suburbs), proceeded by 7 years in Wayland, MA (western Boston Suburb). Prior to that, I was stationed in the Pentagon (Army), where I met my wife Barbie, who was working on Capital Hill for Senator Chuck Percy. I graduated from Syracuse University in 1969.

We have 2 boys, age 26 (Mark) and age 28 (Trip/Gordon III). Mark’s in Scottsdale, AZ and has 2 boys with #3 son arriving next week. Trip’s moving from Scottsdale to Aspen, CO later this month to get back to the snow country he so dearly loves. Both boys are single digit golfers, unlike their Dad who’s happy to break 100!

I spent my early career in Boston (’72-’79) as a stockbroker, earning an MBA in Finance from Babson College along the way. Then I moved into the computer leasing business which triggered relocation to Chicago in 1979. Having caught one of the ‘career bullets’ following 9/11, I’m prematurely retired but still ‘in the hunt’ for generating additional income. Fortunately, Barbie’s in real estate and a travel consultant so that’s helped.

I’ve continued riding Harley’s after ‘getting hooked’, complements of Sean Mahony and Steve Guyette during the mid ‘60’s.
